چکیده
Rare earth elements (REEs) are a major constituent of many advanced materials in the information and telecommunication industries, as well renewable energy efficiency sectors. REEs enablers speed, performance, durability, low carbon emissions these industries. They required everyday applications because their unique chemical physical properties. Given rise environmental concerns consequent demand for limited locations where can be sourced, there is very high risk supply disruption. Despite threat REE its economic significance, an in-depth examination impact benefits sustainable consumption metals Australia, other parts world, holistically systematically lacking, particularly regarding improvement resource strategies. Most previous work on has focused either politico-economic conflicts over distribution, or social impacts production not examined this problem, system. This paper provides review REEs' Australia. The study highlights Circular Economy (CE) scientifically plausible picture management strategy to help address adverse shortages while achieving maximum benefits. It answers how current strategies enhanced from CE perspective. A comprehensive framework was developed, followed by illustrative example tool sustainability practical implementation close material loop improve efficiency.

متن کاملTowards More Circular Economy and Sustainable Consumption – the Practice of Second Hand Clothing Consumption in Sweden
The rapid increase in clothing consumption over the last decades has meant a significant burden on the environment. Some examples of this are the high consumption of natural resources and land, increasing amounts of carbon emissions, excessive use of toxic chemicals, polluting air, land and water and increasing amounts of waste. The average clothing consumption in Europe is far higher than the ...

Definitions and characteristics The rare earth elements (REE) (sometimes referred to as the rare earth metals) are a group of 17 chemically similar metallic elements, including the 15 lanthanides, scandium and yttrium. The lanthanides are elements spanning atomic numbers 57 (lanthanum, La) to 71 (lutetium, Lu) (Table 1). The lanthanides all occur in nature, although promethium, the rarest, only...

متن کاملCoal fly ash as a resource for rare earth elements
Rare earth elements (REE) have been recognised as critical raw materials, crucial for many clean technologies. As the gap between their global demand and supply increases, the search for their alternative resources becomes more and more important, especially for the countries which depend highly on their import. Coal fly ash (CFA), which when not utilised is considered waste, has been regarded ...
